A prime example of a meme or 'infective idea' might be a compulsive ad jingle that you can't get out of your head, or a memorable quote or 'one-liner' such as "Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!" from the film "Carry on Cleo" (see a BBC news item on top film quotes).
