Hattusha aka Hattushash, Hattuşa, Hattuşaş, Boğazköy and Boğazkale.
This is the temple district in the upper city of the Hittite capital. All of the buildings were once temples to different gods, and were at the height of their glory in the 13th century B.C.. Only the stone socle of the walls remains, as the rest of the walls was made from wooden frames, mud bricks and earth backfill. The largest and clearest temple, towards the right front of the picture, is now known as Temple 3. It's central courtyard is clearly visible, with rooms all around it.
