  • alpaca = alpacas, Vicugna pacos, Mammalia, mammal, Artiodactyla, even-toed ungulate, Camelidae, camelid, (Lama pacos), (llama) = Domesticated South American camelid. Superficially resembles a small llama, but not used as beasts of burden. Alpaca fibre is used for weaving and knitting.
